Aurifil The 40 weight is very well-known, just a bit heavier than 50wt. This thread is ideal for all kinds of sewing - machine quilting, embroidery, patchwork, hand piecing, bobbin lace, and even hand sewing for buttonholes. It's made of 100% mercerized cotton and comes in a 1092-yard spool from Italy.
This is my favorite sewing thread. It's smooth and doesn't tangle up.

For Fabric: Regular fabric is sold in 1/2 yds. unless otherwise specified on the product. For example, for 2 yards, the quantity is 4.
